Getting the target to do or perform a task. I don't know why I didn't catch on or internalize this sooner. They will try to get the target to do something that ends up being detrimental to the target while seeming like a very helpful idea or task.

Eg. Like the suggestions in Terrorist Stalking In America, throw pop on a cop, step on their foot, laugh at them. Then the target does this thinking that the cop is a part of an extremist group and gets in trouble.

Sending out letters. Trying to get the target to send out a letter with information that sounds helpful, but it just get's the target and the cause in trouble. Eg. Let's write to congress, a good idea, but then they put together a letter that's so crazy or suggest an idea that's so stupid, it's bound to get the target and the rest of the community into trouble, and make them look crazy.

Many targets when they first come online are not aware that over 90% of these groups are set up by the other side to help continue their oppression. So they will add their names to many of these useless lists that have fake targets, with fake information, and a few real targets. This way your legit information is sent out, and everyone else has nothing to worry about because they are not real targets.

They will try to get you to send out a letter or listing that is harmful, not realising it, you do so, and get further labeled as mentally unstable. The same with giving you a phone number to call, and a bunch of other stupid things, masked as useful or helpful activism activities. I don't know how I missed this before, but I am aware now, and I am letting you know.

Don't get me wrong, writing letters, making calls, sending out your for your FOIA all very helpful ideas and tasks when done the right way. When done the wrong way, they can get you into more trouble and give the impression that you and the community are mentally unstable. Just an FYI.
